At the heart of Amara's 87-year old adoption program is the belief that a successful adoption requires a careful match between the parenting strengths and desires of the adoptive family and the needs and desires of the child. Our work is focused on this goal.

Foster Care

Amara's foster care program is founded on our respect and appreciation for the dedication, unflagging strength, and incredible warmth and nurturance of our foster families. Our goal is to offer them the support they need to help foster children thrive.

Pregnancy Counseling

Amara offers no-cost, non-judgmental, pregnancy options counseling to birthparents in crisis. Regardless of birthparents’ choices, our counselors offer referrals, counseling and support toward stability and healing.
