Get Involved

Amara counts on the generosity and involvement of the community, just as the children we serve are counting on us to find them a forever family.  There are many ways to help make a difference for these children. 

Be a part of our luncheon.  Host a table, be a corporate sponsor, and/or join us for our annual luncheon on May 1, 2008 at Bell Harbor.  Let us inspire you and your guests with the possibilities we can all make happen.

Join a committee.   Amara is always looking for passionate and skilled volunteers to be part of our development, finance, and program committees.

Invest in our children.  Your gift helps give a child what they need most –a family.  We are eternally grateful to the many wonderful individuals, foundations, and corporations that support our work. 

Become a foster or adoptive parent.  You don’t have to be perfect to be a perfect parent!  Amara holds monthly information meetings  about our adoption and foster care programs for anyone interested in learning more.
