This orientation meeting combines a detailed staff presentation on Amara’s adoption process and timeline, with an informal presentation by a past adoptive family on their personal adoption experience. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions throughout the presentations, so we hope you’ll arrive ready to get the most out of this meeting by using your questions to help us to fully inform you. Most of you will have received our information packet in the mail prior to your arrival; please review this prior to attending. Sessions do fill quickly, so please contact us soon to reserve your place.

If you are interested in attending Adoption Information Meeting at Amara but are completely unable to attend a Tuesday evening session, please contact Carol Mikkelsen at (206) 260-1720.  We are happy to schedule an occasional Saturday session from 10:00am - 12:00pm to accommodate family needs, but are unfortunately unable to provide family speakers at those times.
